As a woman and deep down a little girl dreaming of a wedding (one day) I never stop falling in love with the romance energy coming from a newly wed couple, making coo-coo eyes to each other, the sparkle that shines from the bride who looks fantastic in her dress, hair and make up. The groom looking like he could burst of love and pride as he looks upon his new wife.
I’ve done many weddings and every single one is different, that is what Umbali offers, something different. We are lucky to live in a part of the Mpumalanga province where you can get married outside in nature almost all year round. The beauty of the bush veld surrounding the venue with the outlook over the Kaapchehoop valley makes you feel like you in an Africa kingdom and the bridal couple are the King and Queen. For me it feels more private, more proudly South African as they would say as to other venues in the Lowveld. Even though the Big 5 or other antelope (or although there are reports of some wild life in forms of Duiker and Genet being spotted) roaming around it’s what you experience that makes it unique.
As a bride (and woman of course) we know what we want from our weddings, what we expect from the food to the photographer to the guests to the security. Umbali offers all this and more, food that is made with such creativity and passion it will have the guests talking about it for years to come. The bar which stocks a range of liquor, local and international beers to ice cold cool drinks and friendly bar tenders that have years of experience will make sure you and your guests don’t go thirsty. They absolute make sure your tables, flowers, music/sound, chairs are 100 % perfect and while you stare loving into each other eyes during your photo shoot, rest assure your guests can nipple on a freshly prepared platter.
